Introduction	Why MostlyHarmless? It's the description of Earth in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. After extensive research by Ford Prefect (from Betelgeuse) the entry in the Guide was updated from "Harmless" to "Mostly Harmless". It's a good summary of how I view the Earth we inhabit - an antidote to unjustified alarmism.
