About me

Introduction	I’m Joel Bielefeldt, Director of Student Ministries at Grace Presbyterian. Here are a couple of things that you might want to know about me. God changed my life while I was cleaning out a walk-in refrigerator. I graduated from Eastern University with a BA in Youth Ministry. I got married to the love of my life, Laura, in July of 07. My life was changed forever on 5.3.09 when my son, Austin, was born. God has blessed me with a passion for youth ministry. I firmly believe in the words that Paul wrote to Timothy in 4:12 when he says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” If I had to choose one word to describe my ministry I would have to choose “relational.” Students could come to church week-in and week-out and have all of the right answers to the questions, but if they do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ then having all the answers really does them no good. There is so much that you still don’t know about me such as I am a diehard Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, I love to cook, I have gone sky diving, and if you would like to know more then you will just have to ask.
