| Introduction | I am a seventy one year old mother of four, including a son, Walker, age 40 a young man with Down Syndrome who lives at home with me and my husband. Our three daughters are all married, and we have seven grandchildren. I am a graduate of Auburn University and The University of Tennessee School of Social Work (MS). I worked professionally for several years as a counselor to hospitalized teens and adults. I served as Coordinator of Pastoral Care for Church of the Holy Communion for several years, during which time I implemented a design for lay ministry that is in use in many parishes today. I completed the Education for Ministry Program from Sewanee in 2014. I enjoy playing and teaching Mah Jongg and reading on WYPL Radio on Friday Mornings, and occasionally record books for them. I also lead two very interesting monthly book groups. I feel truly blessed to be relatively healthy and active and productive and surrounded by people I love and enjoy! |
