Introduction	Join me on my adventure, as I attempt to swim the English Channel, in August 2010.
Interests	For over 30 years i have dreamed of swimming the channel, and as i am 39 I thought i better make my mark very soon. I work in the area of sports science in the Defence Forces PE School in Ireland and while knowledge is a great thing a little can be dangerous. I have sorrounded my self with people who have been there and swam the channel and have taken there advice and my tid e is on the 17th to 24th of august 2010 with Lance Oram. I will be swimming for our ladys childrens hospital crumlin. www.cmrf.org I have hit the wall a number of times in the 14 26.2 marathons I completed, and hope it will stand to me in the channel. My knees and back have taken there toll on me over the last few years so I decided to try and do one of the hardest things on the planet, SWIM THE ENGLISH CHANNEL. MORE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN IN SPACE AND CONQUERED Everest than have swam the channel. GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!! My motto in life is " I can and I will". Also I am the type of person that doesn't want to be better than anyone, but I want to be just as good as them.
