| Introduction | Adam and I met in 1997, while we were in high school. We had our first child, Addisen, in Decebmer 2003 and were thrown a curve ball. Addisen was born with a birth defect called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (when the diaphragm does not fully form, allowing organs to enter the chest cavity preventing lung growth. 50% of these babies do not survive.) As well as CDH Addisen was born with Cleft Lip and Palate and Horseshoe Kidneys. Thankfully Addisen won her battle with CDH and came home from the hospital after 5 1/2 weeks. We were married in 2005, had our second child, Mitchell, in August 2006 and our third baby, Luke, in December 2008. If that's not enough we have two dogs, Zeppy (border collie) and Rudy (great dane) and we can't forget Slappy, our cat. |
