| Introduction | I see myself, after teaching exactly half of my life now, not only a teacher but a passionate educational activist, constantly asking, "How can we do this better?" I look to my own childhood as well as my son's childhood to fuel this question. Educational philosophies and theorists that call for active, creative and experiential learning attract my attention, such as Dr. Jane M. Healy, Tony Wagner and Reggio Emilia. The circular and necessary Relationship between parent, child and teacher is imperative and sacred to me as a teacher and parent. Art, nature, people and continuing to learn inspire my passion for life. |
