| Introduction | My name is Kelly Capik and I am a 2nd grade teacher. This is my 6th year teaching with 5 of those years being in 2nd grade at my current school in a college town in southern Indiana. My first year of teaching was as a K-3 Inclusion Teacher between two very different schools. I graduated from IUPUI with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and am currently earning my Masters Degree in Education with a focus in Reading and Literacy. When I am not teaching my scholars or attending professional development opportunities, I enjoy reading other teaching blogs as well as articles on different teaching methods. Non-teaching related, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my son, I enjoy hiking and running, I love to play indoor soccer and read books that aren't picture books--even though I do love to leaf through new ones! |
