| Introduction | Hi I'm Ellen, aka: streetnoodles. I have finally gotten more comfortable writing in this thing. When I first started it was my refuge to communicate to anyone because I felt so isolated having just moved from the Bay Area. Though this is my childhood home, if my husband & I had not felt a need to find affordable housing, we would still be up north. Strange though, after a short time, this childhood home that I tried so hard to run away from has become such a treasure trove of inspiration and sense of completion. So here you will find tons of videos & write-ups of people & places I find intriquing in some way along with snippets of the life & times of me. I hope you'll find the mixture palatable :D |
| Interests | art of course, writing in my blog, playing pool, hunting the net for the perfect vintage typewriter, collecting toy robots, scavenging "stuff" at the Goodwill, reading mystery books on cold scary nights. |
| Favorite movies | not much original thought out there, a few that i want to see soon, Brokeback, and Capote. last ones i saw that i liked, Kill Bill 1 & 2 |
| Favorite music | very eclectic and eccentric; old show tunes, the Beattles, b-52's, Tom Watts, old Joni Mitchell (before she found jazz), Bare Naked Ladies, KC and the Sunshine Band, Righteous Bros., Chad & Jeremy, Donovan, Maryann Faithful,(after Mick, when her voice got interesting), also like country, and rap, but don't know that many groups to list here. |
