| Introduction | I gained a 2:1 degree in Fashion Design at Southampton Institute in 1994, a course which I really enjoyed and literally spent many many hours on. I meet my future husband there as well. I then went to Exeter to gain a PGCE which was brilliant fun. This led to training for 6 months in Weymouth which is a fun place to live. Eventually I got a job in Cornwall and been there for the past 14.5 years. During that time I have managed to gain a City and Guilds in embroidery and design, which after a break from learning new skills was a breath of fresh air. At the moment I am dreaming of finding time to do the C and G course in Machine Embroidery, well at the moment I shall keep dreaming!! My enjoyment of all things textiles is starting to rub off on Sophie my cheeky seven year old. She has even attended sewing group sessions and made some finger puppets! She is now showing an interest in Knitting which is not my strong point but I shall teach her the basics. |

Masking tape, you can stick it, paint on it, no need for scissors.
