| Introduction | In my teens I was diagnosed with Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome (PVFS) /Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)/ Fibromyalgia. As conventional medicine had no answers, my journey to look beyond the obvious symptoms and seek a deeper understanding of the root causes of ill health began. I began reading about aromatherapy and essential oils, nutrition, practising meditation and yoga. Having experienced ill health, I believe prevention is better than cure. Listening to the body and respecting its needs is something I believe we are all wise to practise. Aromatherapy can help people cope with a specific physical, mental or emotional problems, or it can be used to help maintain good health and a sense of well-being. I am qualified to National Occupational Standards (NOS) in Aromatherapy and am a fully insured member of the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists). I believe my training and personal experience of chronic ill health has given me the necessary understanding, knowledge and sensitivity to help others to improve their wellbeing. |
