| Introduction | I'm an ESL teacher at a kindergarten near Seoul, Korea. Until soon before coming here in February 2009, I never thought I would be teaching. Before I came here, I graduated college and then traveled around Southeast Asia for 16 weeks. It was a great experience that I chronicled in my blog eatingsoutheastasia.blogspot.com. After coming home in November of 2008, I spent some time figuring out what to do for employment. After hearing about teaching opportunities in Asia for which, to my surprise, I was considered qualified, despite my lack of certification or teaching degree. I wound up in Korea not too long after. Life here is interesting, like Korea itself. |
