| Introduction | An active accredited certification provider and education consultant for the Federation of International Sports, Fitness and Aerobics (FISAF) in Malaysia and Maldives, Sim (a.k.a. Irene in the fitness profession) has over 30 years experience with extensive international presenting exposure. Sim is currently undertaking PhD thesis studies through the Open University Malaysia, researching “The Design and Development of a Horseback Riding Program for Health Fitness”. Her last masters’ research project through the University of Liverpool where she graduated in 2003 investigated the effects and exercise implications of group trampoline exercise to music. Sim continues to develop new courses and workshops incorporating devices such as the fitball, Balance Pad, Gymstick, Trimilin trampoline, Tridex elastic resistance tubing and bands, wobblesmart board and inflatable balance discs for a Malaysian equipment distributor (Gym & Care). These courses are attended by fitness trainers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and chiropractors. |
