| Introduction | Anne Hromadka holds a double masters in Jewish Communal Service from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion/LA and the University of Southern California Roski School of Fine Arts in Public Art Studies. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Art degree with a focus in printmaking from the University of Denver. Ms. Hromadka has worked as an art professional in a variety of ways since the fall of 2004. She began her career as the Director of the USC Hillel Art Gallery. She then became the Assistant Director and later the Director of the George Billis Gallery-LA which is a secular contemporary art gallery situated in the heart of the Culver City Arts District. While Director, she curated a number of successful exhibitions, reached out to new artists, broadened the gallery’s collector base, and traveled internationally. Her area of emphasis is Jewish visual art with a focus on contemporary Los Angeles Jewish artists and a special interest in political artists living and working in Israel. Currently, she is the Program Director for JAI and is the Arts Coordinator for Hebrew Union College-JIR/LA. |
