| Introduction | I have been cooking since my first high school job in 1987, but decided to get serious in 1999 after finishing up university. I learned how to cook properly at Vancouver Community College, then started to work in hotels and fine dining restaurants as I worked through my apprenticeship. I worked in Hong Kong for a while, which allowed me to involve my love of travel with cooking, until my love for Vancouver brought me home. I am married to a wonderful Mexican woman and can proudly call Mexico city my second home. |

| Favorite movies | The original Star Wars trilogy, Indiana Jones (why I love to travel?), Pootie Tang, Southpark, Team America, and too many more to list. The recent nature documentaries with BBC and David Attenborough deserve special mention as well. |
| Favorite music | All kinds - classical, jazz, soul and funk from the 60's and 70's, country, latin, reggae and hip hop. |
| Favorite books | Moby Dick, Dr. Seuss, Inca Land. Various editions of Lonely Planet and many cookbooks - Culinary Artistry / The Flavour Bible being the most worn. |
