| Introduction | Rooted in a childhood passion for aviculture, I began my career in 1998 as a bird keeper at Chessington Zoo. After seven years in zookeeping and conservation, I moved into local government role, where I have spent nearly two decades working with APHA, CITES, and Border Force at the UK’s only all-species Border Inspection Post. I now maintain a small private collection of foreign softbills and am a professional member of several organisations, including ABWAK. As of autumn 2024, I proudly serve as Secretary of The Avicultural Society. |
