Introduction | I met and married my husband, Gaylord, on a Grand Canyon river rafting trip with Canyoneers in 1978. We have worked together for the past 30 years to make Canyoneers a high quality, state-of-the art rafting company that we are very proud of. Between us, we have performed every function necessary to develop and operate a small river running business. We have owned and operated a small hiking/guide business in Grand Canyon, a small lodge on the North Rim of Grand Canyon, a cross country ski center on the North Kaibab, a little country store and gas station, also on the North Kaibab, and a small campground and RV park by Jacob Lake, AZ. We are slowing down a bit now, after years of working 7 days a week and 15-16 hour days. I have served on a number of Boards and Commissions involving small business. I represented Arizona at the White House Conference on Small Business in 1995 where I served as the Environmental Chair person. I have lived in Flagstaff, AZ for the past 30 years and love it! My kids have all been four-legged, and currently include two terrific German Shepherds. |
