| Introduction | Fix Austin is led by Austinites Ryan Clinton and Sarah Bate. An attorney in Austin, Ryan spent two and a half years working with Liv in the Game, a mentoring charity that served underprivileged youths in East Austin. And after his brother and grandparents lost their homes in Hurricane Katrina, he volunteered at Austin's Red Cross shelter to lend support for Louisianians in need. The first in his family to graduate from college, Ryan has three times been named one of the best appellate attorneys in Texas under 40. Sarah is a native Texan with an insatiable passion for helping others. She's a teacher in a middle-school Special Education classroom in Austin, and holds degrees in Art and Education. Her artwork has been exhibited by San Antonio's Museum of Art. |
