| Introduction | I am very excited as I enter my 8th year as principal of Kickapoo High School after 9 years as Principal at Cherokee and 25th year as an educator. Born and raised in southeast Tennessee I earned my Bachelor's degree in English-Journalism from Tennessee Technological University. I then worked as a journalist for four years before moving to Tampa, Florida in 2000 to continue that career. I began teaching in 2001 and after earning my Masters Degree from the University of South Florida in 2006 my wife, Dana, and I moved to Springfield. We have a son, Seely. Before coming to KHS I was Principal at Cherokee Middle School for 9 years, an Assistant Principal and teacher for Springfield Public Schools and a teacher in Tampa, Florida. I earned my Doctorate (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO in 2016. |
