Introduction	I am a Masters geology graduate student working on modeling lunar lava tubes as part of the GEODES project. The aim of my research is to simulate the inflation of lava tubes under the lunar surface and determine the deformation of the surface that they would cause. This information may be used to locate previously undiscovered tubes beneath the surface. I am currently using an idealized, simplified model of a tube, but intend to later in my project use 3D scans of the inside of an actual structure. I did my undergraduate degree at UMD, studying Physics and Astronomy. I decided that the planetary aspect of these areas was most interesting to me, and switched into Geology after graduating.
