| Introduction | I have T1 diabetes. I was misdiagnosed in Jan 2008 as T2 while pregnant with my 1st son. After going through the entire pregnancy sick and losing weight, my son was born and is fine. A few weeks after he was born I felt sick so I tested and was at 487. I washed my hands and retested 489. My highest BG previously was like a 160. I called the doc and they sent me to an endo who diagnosed me as a T1 diabetic on Nov 17 2008. I am a young diabetic, but I am also an anal diabetic. My highest A1C was 5.8% when I was misdiagnosed as a T2 and pregnant. I still have lots to learn about this crazy unpredictable disease. It seems like the more I learn the less I know. |
