| Introduction | I am a full time book and textile artist living with Leon the deaf cat in a small, once vine covered cottage in North Carolina. I have worked with hand felted wool for over 40 years and have written three books about feltmaking. I also, for about 15 years, have been in love with book binding, especially limp bindings and historic structures. I teach both resist dyeing on felt and book binding with textile covers around the US and Canada but have recently decided to teach more at my own studio. I did move briefly to the Pacific Northwest in 2015 but since December 2016 I have been happily back in my cottage in the almost painfully hip area of West Asheville in beautiful North Carolina. |
