Introduction	Julie is a high school junior in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She hatched this idea to drive to all of the lower 48 states. And she gets to do that when she's 16. Mark is the Dad who was pretty easily talked into this adventure. His father bought the Benz in 1969. Mark drove this car when he was 16, and he's been the title holder since 1984. You really get to know a car when you grow up with it and own and work on it for decades! Our Benz was built in September 1967, purchased in Dayton, Ohio in November 1967, and has been in the Langenfeld family since 1969. The Benz is an emotional link to Julie's grandfather, whom she never met, and her grandmother who died when Julie was 5. The Benz is quite happy to have gotten some very special attention in recent months and wishes that Julie's grandmother and grandfather were still around to be sharing the excitement of this adventure.
