| Introduction | Through ten years of parenting and marriage you realize all you need is Jesus and a good pair of jeans. Through twenty years of walking with the Lord you realize what your soul wears most of the time. My soul wears jeans. My walk with the Lord needs to be the long-lasting-go-with-anything-go-through-any-weather kind of walk. Some of you may find me irreverent which probably means your soul is wearing a proper Sunday bonnet and not jeans. My Jesus story just calls for jeans. I was raised in the church (that church pretty much originated wearing jeans and flip flops to church), second-born to 11 chidren, married a sailor and have gone through multiple deployments. I’m homeschooling my own four little ones, and writing for kids. You see? I can’t do all that in a Sunday bonnet. I need to be able to throw my head back and laugh at a moment’s notice. In conclusion: God is good and my soul wears jeans. |
