| Introduction | Motivated by curiosity and family letters which came into my possession on a visit to St. Louis in 1992, I began researching my family history full time upon my return. Intrigued to find the missing pieces and authors of these letters dating as far back as 1827, I began visiting the library daily and now conduct most of my research via the internet. Thanks to many who have contacted me through my various websites since 1999, I have uncovered more history and information than I ever expected and am forever grateful to all those who have shared.
