| Introduction | I have recently nominated to run as an East Ward Candidate in the current Local Government Elections. I am the current chairman of the Shire of Mundaring's Business Advisory Group. I find it rewarding to be able to contribute to my community by being involved in volunteering my time to groups such as the Business Advisory Group. It is important for those that are elected to Council to take their roll as a community representative seriously and to contibute in a positive fashion at all meetings, not just the ones they feel like attending. Elected Councillors represent the whole of the Shire not just the Ward they are elected in. Anyway enough of that. I have lived in the Shire of Mundaring since 1996. I have served on the P&C associations at both the primary school and high schools where our three daughters attended. Recently I served on the Community Task Force at the EMRC where our task was to formulate the Community Partnership Agreement for the Recource Rocovery Facility to be built at the Red Hill Waste Disposal Site. |
