| Introduction | Writing is about growing, it allows us to vent & express our inner most feelings that would otherwise be very difficult to verbalize or articulate through speech. Writing is about experience and inspirations; Hemingway is the epitome of this as he often wrote about experiences in his own personal life. His novels were often the result of inspirations that he would get; whether it was a bull fight in the middle of a “fiesta” in Spain, a safari adventure in Africa, or a relationship gone sour, his own life served as sparks of inspiration that resulted later on in a blazing fire of outstanding writing as we know it & love it today. This is the kind of relationship that we must have with reading & writing, it’s a friendship that must be cultivated, & I'm delighted to share my relationship with writing with you. I often find myself at work, driving in my car, talking with a friend over some lunch, in class and suddenly these thoughts come rushing into my brain. That is the power of writing, the strength to turn a difficult experience into a life lesson, into an inspiration for many other people who read my writing and who can identify with what I have been through.
