| Interests | In my paintings I concentrate on: movement, gesture, the sense of matter and in color levels. The dominant element is the large single colored surfaces. The visual effect is abstract. The end result is free of its narrative content, like a color stain. This element leads to the visual and tactile sense of color. Using nature as my primary source of inspiration, i strive to capture beautiful moments of everyday life. Each of those moments contains and evokes a reverential awe for the majesty of light, color and nature; a connection and feeling of oneness with the world inside of us. Working on canvas acrylic colors, i recreate the textures and tones of the environment to bring a vivid realism and authenticity to the work. Whether on canvas, or paper, my art looks at familiar and obscure sights in nature in a more abstract way, finding hidden layers in the beauty and complexity we often overlook! |
| Favorite movies | In my Light installations I concentrate on: Through light, an anthropocentric environment is researched and created that stimulates the perceptive capacity of the subject, who through sight recognizes materiality equally with the physical anti-fatigue capacity of the senses. Matter and body merge in search of self-awareness and mutual communication. |
