Introduction	I'm a former doctoral student that topped out at ABD status ("all but dissertation"), which means that I have something in common with David Duchovny. I was studying 19th century British Gothic Lit, and I have soft spot for the period and for the genre. Thankfully, my other major reading interest, YA fiction, is in a Gothic-heavy phase, so I have a great number of books to read that fit within my interests in a number of ways.
