Introduction	This blog originated as one unofficial element of a collaboration between the Geneva Forum and a project called "Disarmament as Humanitarian Action: Making Multilateral Negotiations Work" at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR). Together, we set up the Disarmament Insight initiative in late 2006. Latterly it has been a conduit for encouraging discussion on the Conference on Disarmament, but as at the beginning of 2013 it is focused on facilitating a debate on the humanitarian impacts of the detonation of a nuclear weapon.
