| Introduction | When I was in high school, I wanted to be a pastry chef. It turns out I don't cook well under pressure, a fact I learned after a particularly frustrating incident with a strawberry crepe. So I became a writer instead. And now, after graduating with my MFA in fiction, I find myself revising stories, peddling book reviews, cooking elaborate meals for my two highly indulgent roommates, and writing about the foods I make. |
