After Dr. Ed Wood and Jean Wood returned from the Middle East in 1985 with an authentic sourdough culture they decided to share their passion of the true comfort food...sourdough bread. Unlike most cultures you find we absolutely do not add any commercial yeast to our cultures. Commercial yeast produces something that looks like sourdough but is completely bland and tasteless. When you bake with wild yeast you are creating something that is truly pure and authentic. The difference between the two are pretty dramatic. We want our customers to be proud of the bread they bake and share with family and friends, with Sourdoughs International cultures you will be. That makes us feel good about what we do.
