| Introduction | I am a very blessed woman. I have seen the hand of God in my life and am so grateful for my knowledge of his love for me and the gift of his son Jesus Christ. It leads me in all that I do. I played basketball for Bingham High School, in South Jordan, UT and learned what a fantastic coach is like through my own coach Rand Rasmussen. Then I played 4 years at the University of Washington. I gained such great experience being able to serve people by just being an athlete. I volunteered for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as a family volunteer. My love for families fighting the cancer battle was strengthened by that opportunity. I coached Division I basketball at Utah Valley University for 6 years. I loved giving back to players what I had also been given from my coaches. Now I am a wife and mother and a part of my favorite team. We don't have a full team yet, but have truly been blessed to have a team captain! I love being a mom, and feel that my talents can also be used to serve my community. I know that when we serve others we are also serving God. And I owe Him so much. :) |
