| Introduction | I am the product of the union between an African American GI who was part of MacArthur's occupational forces and a Japanese woman who was born in Kyoto. I was born in Japan and raised in the mid-west; married the first time at age 18 and married the love of my life, Waine, when I was 35. I went to Medical School in Wisconsin and trained as a Pediatrician at Milwaukee Children's Hospital. I have been a managed care executive for the past 25 years with a specialty in Medicaid. I have been married to Dr. Waine Kong (www.jamaicachapter.blogspot.com) for the past 22 years. We have 4 children and 6 grandchildren (and counting). Waine and I divide our time between Kingston, Jamaica and Atlanta, Georgia when not globe trotting with friends and family. |
