| Introduction | If we succumb to the sway of "swag", we are, in essence, as enslaved by it as we are enamored by it. We buy souped-up whips, rock gold chains - selling our bodies to consumerism, debt, and stereotyping in the process. We noose ourselves in a cycle of "swag", become strange fruits, and disappear into a crowd of fad-addicts. Hype-beasts. We are powerless. Yet, we were meant to be so much more powerful than that. Meant to be - supposed to be - Negus'. Not Niggas. |
