| Introduction | Bisi Ogunbadejo, born 1950. Studied General Art at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos; Fine Art (Sculpture major) at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK; Creative writing course at Middlesex University, UK. Taught Art at New Era Girls’ Grammar School, (1972-1976) and Head of Fine art department at The Polytechnic Ibadan, Eruwa campus, (1981-1983). Joined the Guardian Newspapers at inception as Cartoon Editor, Editorial board member and later Group Art Editor, (1983-1991) and Editor Lagos Life Weekly in the Guardian stable (1988-1991). First editorial cartoon, Daily Express, 1973 and weekly satirical cartoon page, ”Cracks” and later, “Watching Developments” in West Africa magazine, London, from 1981 till 2003 when the magazine closed. Group Arts and Cartoon Director and editorial board member at Thisday Newspapers with back page Editorial cartoons, “From the Outside” and “Double Talk” four days a week (2007-2016). Currently Freelance Cartoonist, Creative Consultant, Artist and Journalist. |
