| Introduction | A psychiatrist with nearly 30 years of experience, Dr. Gregg Gorton received his early education from Harvard College and his doctor of medicine from Tufts University, where he was selected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. After finishing an internship in internal medicine at Boston University, Dr. Gregg Gorton went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at The Cambridge Hospital, as well as a fellowship at The Austen Riggs Center. Following his fellowship, Dr. Gorton remained active in academia as a psychiatric consultant and faculty member in various capacities at Jefferson Medical College. Over the course of nearly two decades of experience, he garnered several teaching awards and served as the principal investigator for two university research grants. For more than 10 years, he served as a clinical associate professor in the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. In practice, he served as a staff psychiatrist at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center up until his recent retirement in 2015. |
