| Introduction | Although my expertise resides in the very wide field of marketing, my particular interests--really harkening back to a start in my young professional life as a psychologist--focus mainly on consumers: How they are served by business and government, how they react to change and innovation--and shifts in market conditions. Presently, I am privileged to be on the Faculty of Marketing at Bryant University, where I currently spend most of my time serving as the Associate Dean of the College of Business. My arrival at Bryant occurred via a degree from ASU and six great years at Northeastern University in Boston. My early professional career was launched in healthcare, first as a practicing psychologist and then as the director of a large, psychiatric and MH program in the greater Boston area. While in that role I learned how little I really knew and understood about managing an enterprise, prompting me to pick-up an MBA from Boston University. That decision transformed a professional life made up of Rorschach tests and Kleenex to focus groups and storyboards--what a terrific way it is to spend the days and years of one’s career! |
