| Introduction | I'm a woman, mom, wife, worker living in the big city and, as Prince once said, "just trying to get through this thing called life." I'm torn, like many of you, between motherhood and finding a way to make ends meet (and finding enough hours in the day for all that needs to get done). I've got toddlers, work, husband, dogs, cats, coupon-clipping, the economy and everyday living on the brain. Come join me for the fun! |
| Interests | In no particular order:, writing, stories, dogs, middle-age pregnancy, babies, bargain shopping, antiques, (not fancy, expensive ones, just stuff with character), home, (making my home a friendly/cozy and colorful place), pets, coffee, tea, (my parents were British after all), politics, the environment, politeness, kindness, fluffy duvets, England, France, Spain, travel, Henry VIII, (and all his wives), Elizabeth I, cooking, (I like making really good food without using a recipe), Fiestaware, (all the colors old and new), Lustroware, (red is my fave), simplifying my life, balance, marriage, life, living, and the pursuit of, happiness, learning to appreciate what I have instead of focusing on what I think I lack. |

If your whole body were a hot air balloon, would you stop eating spicy food?
No way! Give me more Indian or Vietnamese food with that super hot chili sauce they serve and I could see Earth from outer space. That would be worth the price of the meal.
