| Introduction | I am a mother of a beautiful son who is the absolute apple of my eye. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Thomas located in the Virgin Islands where I live with my boyfriend and son. To summarize the last few years of my life: After high school, I went to college in Charlotte, NC but moved back home after realizing college wasn't for me. I worked a series of jobs and after finally realizing what I wanted to do with my life in 2005, I was able to get my dream job! Went through an extremely LIFE CHANGING heartbreak and bounced back. After 3 years building my career, I gave it all up and turned my back on my dreams. Now, in 2011, I had a baby, am unemployed, have very minimal income, unable to contribute my financial portion to my household, and dependent upon my boyfriend who is taking care of everything. I must only point to myself because had I continued living my life for me 2 years ago, I wouldn't have been HERE. Nonetheless, I'm attempting not to complain and I am on a constant journey to better my situation. Hence the title of my blog. The only thing left to do when you’re down is to "Dust yourself off and try AGAIN!" |
