| Introduction | I’m Nadeem Ali, Mayor of Waltham Forest 2013/14. I grew up here, went to school at Mission Grove Primary, Willowfield Secondary and George Monoux College, and became a councillor in 2010. Last year I was the youngest Deputy Mayor in the country, and this year I’ve been honoured with election as Mayor of this amazing borough. I am so proud of the vibrant and exciting community & hope to make a real difference to people’s lives by raising money for A/V and ICT equipment for the “Young People’s Programme” at the fantastic William Morris Gallery and also for the Gastroenterology and Respiratory Medicine unit at Whipps Cross. Part of my fundraising will be a year-long diet and fitness programme - #pounds4pounds. I’ll keep you updated on my progress here. |
