| Introduction | I'm a mom, wife, and nurse. I like to vent, but don't like to offend, so I figure a blog is best. I'm passionate about certain things, and I couldn't care less about others. I try to pick my battles, which is something I haven't always been good at. When it comes to change, I don't adapt well at first, but it's a quick fit pitch and then I move on. My moms says I'm not resilient, but I just think I have my short-term childish reaction, then it's up and at it. I'm hoping to raise my son to be better than this, but so far (he was born on Mother's day 2008) he's not conquered it. I love building/re-building things, especially in our home. I have the winter doldrums EVERY winter, but I am intolerant of the humid, hot <90 degree summer days so safe to say I dig spring, and fall!!! |
| Interests | Sporting KC, KC Royals, furniture and home rehab, home decorating, gardening/watching things grow/flourish, koi ponds, and of course my family: my two sons (one I gave birth to, one I married, our 8y/o F black lab, Texas, Kansas City, history/museums, reading (sometimes smut books), I also love being a nurse, although I don't like the politics/documentation requirements-I do LOVE taking care of people in need and working with other nurses that do it for the same reasons |

| Favorite Music | I like a little from every genre. My favorite channels on satellite radio are the calming ones...Enigma, Thievery Corporation, etc but I do love Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Sara McLachlan, Pink and maybe Rihanna for their success and ability to be just who they are and fighters for women. |
