| Introduction | I am being held captive in a bank's wealth management division as a fee-based financial planner. I want to escape on my sailboat, bicycle, or some related means and have a life. Life, for now, is squeezed in the few hours of each week that I get to do what I really want to do. I want to read a bunch of good books, finish getting my sailboat in seaworthy condition, hang out with my wife/sweetheart/best friend/partner in life, bike, run, walk, hike, workout, learn a bunch of stuff, be involved in a fellowship that is important to me, take creative writing classes, take bunches of courses on sailing and seamanship, see my Mom and my brother who live in Arkansas a bunch more, visit Anna and Jeremy regularly, and take good care of all my stuff. But instead I have to work. That means trading irreplacable and limited hours of my life for ???? A-a-a-a-gh! |
