| Introduction | Dr. Gwen West-Gonzalez is a source of pride and inspiration to all within the City of Detroit. West-Gonzalez strong leadership skills and love for the Detroit community is what has driven her as a Public Servant. West-Gonzalez can be seen volunteering countless hours throughout the City of Detroit - from teaching basic computer and business entrepreneurial skills at a local women’s transitional facility to reporting local, national and international news to the blind and print impaired at the Detroit Radio Information Services, a sub-carrier of WDET-101.9 FM radio. In addition, West-Gonzalez devotes her time coaching youths, ages 4-12 in the areas of academics, athletics, and leadership at a local recreational center and is part of a mentoring program at Cornerstone Schools. West-Gonzalez has proven her dedication and loyalty to the residents, communities, and businesses of the City of Detroit. West-Gonzalez is truly an inspiration to all. |
