Introduction	This blog is to explore the concept of the Amazon, as based upon the independent, strong, warrior woman, both in antiquity and the modern age. I'll cover everything from history to portrayals in the media. I'll also be exploring how, as a modern woman, one can embody the spirit of the Amazon. I have been fascinated with the Amazons for some time now, and I think there is a place for that fierce, independent spirit in today's world. I'd like to explore that, and try to figure out how to pass that spirit on, even as I try to embody it in my own life.
