Introduction	My grandma, who passed 20 years ago, used to run a place, called "kitchen yakko"（やっこ食堂）in downtown Hakata, Fukuoka Japan. She would come home every Sunday and tell us what had happened there during the week, just talking nonstop over 1-2 hours. About her regular guests, such as the hairstylist next door（となりの美容室のマリちゃん）, the owner of a take-out lunch factory（弁当社長）, etc., and her mice catcher kitty. Later the kitty came to my house and we lived together for a long time :) Her stories were so out there for me as a girl in elementary school and they are still in my mind. I would like to share what I see, feel, cook, eat, hear and smell (if possible), here in NY... just like my grandma used to do to her family and friends.
