| Introduction | The word “summertime” can trigger some fond childhood memories. Marty Mortensen is no different. “My summer memories are of fixing plumbing under the watchful eye of my patient father.” Marty’s father is a plumbing professional with 40 years of training and experience. Many summers later, Marty was still working under the direction of his father. He was taking college classes when he met his future wife, Annette. Only days after the wedding they started to plan their new adventure together. First, they wanted to live in beautiful Flagstaff, AZ and raise a family. Second, Marty wanted to continue to use his technical plumbing skills and enjoy every moment of it. Within a few months, Mortensen Custom Plumbing was created and customers began to call for his services. He even found time, between fixing leaks and replacing hot water systems, to complete his sociology degree from Northern Arizona University. Mortensen Custom Plumbing has grown from one plumber into a team of expertly trained employees. So how does Marty spend his time now? He can still be found in Flagstaff homes working on plumbing. |
