| Introduction | Reconciling the principles of our founders with the faith of the reformers. An enlightening perspective. |
| Interests | Eric and his wife Debbie have been married for 26 years and homeschooled their two sons, Blake and Luke. In October of 2007, Eric began to read two of Blake’s textbooks . “Whatever Happened to Penny Candy?” and “Whatever Happened to Justice?”, both by Richard J. Maybury, and his second great awakening began. The first being when he gave his life to Christ in 1987. The principles discovered in the pages of these two simple books undermined his Republican Neo Conservative perspective and began to expose how poorly his faith reconciled with his view of politics/ethics and civil government. Those books led to other books and so on and so forth and ultimately led to a discovery of the brilliance of the Reformers and the writings of our founders, chiefly Thomas Jefferson. In January of 2009, the Liberty Discussion Group was formed. The group of meets one Friday night a month to discuss how the principles of scripture apply to the institution of civil government, law and economics. Eric believes our nation’s moral and economic crisis is the result of the church’s failure to apply the principles of scripture to the God ordained institution of civil government. |
