| Introduction | We met at a corn maze in 1999. The next year, I and my room mates moved into a duplex and Joel and his room mates moved into the other side of the same duplex. He was quiet and younger than me so I didn't think of dating him. He would come over and nap on our couch occasionally - we all thought that was funny. I guess our side of the duplex was quieter than his. He watched me do my art homework and we would talk. Then he left to serve a mission for our church in Brazil Jan. of 2001. I also served a mission and was sent to Brazil June 2001. We wrote letters throughout our missions and became good friends. Afterwards, we started spending time together as friends. We soon started dating and were engaged and married within 5 months of returning from our missions. We have now been married for five years and we are still in love. Joel recently graduated from college with a BS in Political Science emphasizing in International Relations. He currently is a Specialist in the Army still receiving training for his job. I graduated with a BA in Visual Art and am currently a homemaker as of a June 2008 when I had to quit my job to move to another state to join Joel. |
