About me

Introduction	Pond Creek ~ the peaceful, country farmstead where I was raised by my grandparents, daily instilled with a love for the plain and simple things in life, and most importantly, God. The 6 month old infant in the photo above is my Granny, being held by her mother at the Pond Creek Homestead in 1903. I learned at my Granny's knee to sew and stitch in the tradition of "olde", and to cook in the tradition of "scratch", and I cherish in my heart the memories of olde times there that surely will never be forgotten. I'm a primitive artist and designer that also loves photograhy, writing, music, and nature. Here at Pond Creek you'll find a menagerie of my favorite things ~ thoughts and ponderings for the day, memories from the olde-homeplace, some of my favorite recipes, a few decorating tips, photos I've taken along life's road, and some of my primitive creations, designs, and stitcheries, available for purchase if you wish.
