Introduction	Sarah Palin is a back home, back woods, country girl that was born in Sandpoint Idaho. She was the third child of four and was the daughter of a teacher looking for work. This brought Palin to Alaska where she went on to compete in the political world. She received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Idaho in communications with an emphasis in journalism. Her first political campaign was for the Wasilla City Council where she won in 1991 and also won her re-election bid in 1995. However, Palin wasn't satisfied with the way things were being run and decided to step up and take action. She ran for mayor of Wasilla in 1996 and was later elected to be president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors in 1999. Palin went on to run for the ticket of lieutenant governor but lost her ticket. However, Palin wanted to see change made so she stayed on the campaign trail for another candidate that she believed could bring the change she was looking for. Not letting her loss differ her from making her own changes, she went on to take the governor office in 2006. Sarah Palin is a candidate that has had growing experience over the years and continually grows as a candidate.
